Nova Gorica in Motion

Hello dear readers, Rudy here with my first time-lapse video in Slovenia.

The reason for this video

I made this video as part of an exam at my school. We had to do some practical work, and we had to choose a topic for it. There was a topic called time-lapse and I was like “Woah, this one is mine.” And it was.

The making

At first, I wasn’t so sure what should I record and where should I record because I’ve arrived at this school 2 months ago so I am not familiar with the city or even the Slovenian language. And after some thinking I thought, why not make a video about the city. So I went for it, I named a video “Nova Gorica in motion” because everything you’ll see in this video was in motion.

As you may know, December is very cold in some parts of the world, in some it isn’t so much, but I was freezing at night, standing there still for hours. This video was around 2 weeks in the making. I was so happy and satisfied with the results. A few days later, I had to present this in front of my class. I had 5 minutes to present everything, so I took two minutes for small talk and 3 minutes for the video to show.

Everyone was quiet, watching the video, and I was so nervous about the results and comments. After the video finished playing, I got huge applause from everyone in the class and I got some nice comments from my classmates which made me so happy.

Big thanks to Municipality of Nova Gorica and Nova Gorica Tourism for supporting this project.

Take a look at the video below. Enjoy!
